Objectives:
In this lesson we will
discuss the miracles that Jesus did, demonstrating that He is more than just a
man, even the Son of God.

Mark 1.1; Mark 4.35-41;
Mark 5.1-20, 25-34, 35-43.

1. What characteristics of
Jesus would cause someone to believe that Jesus was a good man?
2. What things have you
heard about Jesus that would cause you to think that He was more than a man?
That He was in fact the Son of God?
3. What would any man have
to do to prove that he was the Son of God?
4. What did Jesus do to
cause Mark to believe that He was the Son of God?

the boat?

- What can Jesus do to
help? (Mark 4.39-41)

said, "Quiet, be still"?
- How did the disciples
feel?
- Who is this, that even
the wind and sea obey Him? (Mark 4.41)
- If Jesus can do things
that man cannot do, He must be more than a man.
- If Jesus really could
help his frightened disciples, would it be possible to believe that he can help
us too?

OVER THE DEMON POSSESSED MAN
(Read Mark 5.1-20)
- What can men do to
help this demon-possessed man? (Mark 5.3-4)
- Men had chained him in
the tombs.
- Were the men able to tame
him?
- What can Jesus do to
help? (Mark 5.6-15)
- What did the man do when
he saw Jesus?
- After Jesus sends the
demons out, the man is found sitting (not running), clothed (not naked), and in
his right mind (not crazy).

power over demons?
- If Jesus can do things
that man cannot do, He must be more than a man.

help this miserable man, would it be possible to believe that He can help us
too?

- What can men do to
help this woman? (Mark 5.25-28)
- She had spent all of her
money on doctors and was worse.
- What did she do when she
saw Jesus?
- What can Jesus do to
help? (Mark 5.29-34)
- When she touches Jesus,
she is cured.
- What does Jesus say about
her cure?
- Who is this, who even has
power over disease?
- If Jesus can do things
that man cannot do, He must be more than a man.
- If Jesus could really
help this ill woman, would it be possible to believe that He can help us
too?

- What can man do
for this dead girl? (Mark 5.35-40)
- The mourners had already
come to weep.
- What did they do when
Jesus said she was just asleep?
- What can Jesus do to
help? (Mark 5.41-42)
- What happened when Jesus
told the girl to "get up"?
- How did her parents
feel?
- Who is this, who even has
power over death?
- If Jesus can do things
that man cannot do, He must be more than a man.
- If Jesus could really
help this dead girl, would it be possible to believe that He can help us
too?
- CONCLUSION
- The miracles Jesus
did caused many people to believe that he was more than a man...even the Son of
God.
- When people were in
trouble, to whom did they turn for help? Why?
- How did they react after
Jesus helped them?
